Flash Trade is the first and only perpetual exchange on Solana that is fully bootstrapped where the founding team never sold a single token to build it. Today we stand at the edge of launching Flash's most important upgrade yet — Flash Trade V2, built entirely from scratch on a one-of-a-kind coprocessor engine that reduces latency to 100–150ms (down from mainnet's 300–800ms) and increases bandwidth without compromising on any tenet of decentralization. And to further align everyone's future course for the best of Flash Trade, we're putting up this temperature check to mint tokens for the founding team.

This proposal aims to mint 20% of FAF supply (200,000,000 tokens out of a 1B total supply), split evenly across launch and three market cap goals so the team stays aligned with the growth of the protocol. To start, the team would like 5% of supply for the immediate launch of Flash v2, fully powered by the new margin engine launched a few months ago, unlocking epic levels of capital efficiency. This 5% unlocks the moment the proposal passes through futarchic voting and vests over 3 months. The rest unlocks against the following market cap goals:

• 5% at $50M fully diluted market cap
• 5% at $100M fully diluted market cap
• 5% at $200M fully diluted market cap

Every unlock depends on price maintaining above the 7-day simple moving average at the said market cap, followed by a 6-month vest after it unlocks.

If this proposal passes all the tokens for the team allocation will be minted at once and sent to a multisig controlled by team members of flash and metadao with a 3/4 signature threshold and 3 day timelock for safety reasons and upon reaching the said goals of marketcap the members of the multisig will put up the proposal for the tokens to be unlocked and vested to the team of flash.trade through streamflow.
